Ace Hotel Brooklyn - Samantha & Alex Wedding
I was excited to capture the special day for Alex and Sam. These two lovebirds met online, but as it turns out, they had a lot more in common than they could have ever imagined. They lived on the same block in Brooklyn, spent time at the same sleep-away camp, and even worked at the same desk at the same off-Broadway theater years apart. It was clear that they were meant to be together.
The proposal was a bit unconventional, as these two didn't follow the traditional route. Instead of a grand, romantic gesture, they simply picked out the perfect ring and started wearing it. They even surprised their parents by telling them they were engaged the next day after getting the ring.
When planning the wedding, Alex and Sam knew they wanted a more interesting venue than a boring hotel ballroom. They searched high and low for the perfect location and eventually stumbled upon Ace Hotel in Brooklyn. Despite the venue being under construction then, they knew it would be the perfect fit for their big day.
The wedding colors and themes were a beautiful blend of green, white, gold, and burgundy, and the florist, Sarah McErlean from Park and Bloom, did an incredible job bringing everything together. Eliza Scheffler officiated the ceremony, and the make-up artist, Brittany Lo from Beautini, helped the couple look their best for the big day.
Ace Hotel handled the catering, and Danny Alvarez's bakery provided the delicious wedding cake. The DJ, Emerson Breneman, kept the party going all night long.
After the wedding, Alex and Sam will be jetting off to Vietnam for their honeymoon. It's sure to be the perfect way to start their new life together.
Overall, it was such a pleasure to be a part of this beautiful wedding at Ace Hotel in Brooklyn. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Alex and Sam. #AceHotelWedding
