University of the Arts Wedding - Alexa & Nathan

While Alexa was performing in a performance of Hair the musical, she and Nathan were met through a mutual friend and their love story began. She impressed Nathan with her skill and attractiveness right away, and the chemistry between them was undeniable from the very first date. Their love grew stronger over the next few years, and it was obvious to everyone that they were destined for each other.

They became even closer throughout the pandemic as they spent many hours at FDR Park together, a site that had sentimental value for both of them. Here, at this socially distant gathering, Nathan decided to pop the question, turning the event into an unexpected engagement celebration. Nathan proposed to Alexa in the gazebo by getting down on one knee and giving her a gorgeous aquamarine ring, his birthstone.

Alexa and Nathan knew they wanted a small, local wedding when the time came to start making plans. In the end, they settled on Alexa's alma mater, the University of the Arts. The garden in the back, the historic street frontage, and the abundance of natural light streaming in through the glass ceiling made this location ideal.

The day they tied the knot was nothing short of a fairy tale. There was evident affection between them as they exchanged vows beneath the stunning glass dome. There were lots of happy tears, hugs, and dances at the reception. They looked absolutely stunning as they danced their first dance as husband and wife.

It was an honor to be their wedding photographer and capture the couple's infectious love and happiness. Knowing that I captured and preserved a fleeting moment in time for this lovely couple fills me with gratitude and pride. I feel privileged to have played a small role in Alexa and Nathan's epic love tale.
